Jobs are a way for your chararcter to get money. When starting a new character, the character can start with 1 (one) job or start out with no job at all. Up to you. To get a job, simply ask for the job you want. Anything other than Royalty will be given instantly, but royalty itself will need to have a reason for having having such a prestigious duty.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How jobs work
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usually, when a character has a job, they go and do the job. Doing the job gets your character paid at the end of the week.
All jobs start at level 1, starting with the benefits stated below, and when the job is leveled up, the pay and rewards of said job increased for base job x job level. (IE- Artist lvl 1 gets 2,000 per week, artist lvl 2 gets 4,000 per week).
When pay day comes around, the character gets said ammount of money, as well as whatever benefits the job comes with. The benefits work on the jobs level as well. (IE- lvl 1 artist gets an automatic increase in art (medium) +10, lvl 2 artist gets +20)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Increasing job level
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The way to increase your job level is to spend training points in to your job. To do so, you take the next job's level, multiply it by 1,000, that's how many training points you need to raise the level. You can not bank points for the next job level. You must have the total points for the job to spend in one go, or you will not be able to increase your job level.
The highest level for a job is 100, which would take a long time to reach being 100 x 1,000 = 100,000.
----------------------------------------------
Odd jobs
-----------------------------------------------
This is for if you want your skills to pay the bills. Characters can work odd jobs (IE- dancing for entertainment, searching for items to sell, etc). Odd jobs do not come with any benefits as it is something you can just do to make some quick cash, so odd jobs do not come with any levels. Instead, odd jobs run off of your skills. (Dancing skill for dancing, search job for finding things to sell, Instrument (type) for playing music.)
The more points you have in a skill, the more money you obtain for the odd job. To do odd jobs, either RP it it, or make a small story of your character doing said odd job. Either I or a moderator will look at the small story or RP log and judge how much money a character gets at the end of said job.
------------------------------------------------
Q&A
------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I do my job?
A: Just roleplay it out, either on the forum or in one of the rooms designated for AllOutRP (Discord AoR). Doesn't need to be a whole lot, just a post like for a blacksmith "Daro gets to work on making swords and axes, turning on the forge he heats the metal and begins pounding it in to shape".
Q: Can I have more than one job?
A: WHO THE HELL WANTS TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE JOB?!! *clears throat* I mean, yes, yes you can. A total of about 3 jobs.
Q: Does my character risk getting tired from doing too much work?
A: No, but if you decide to RP those kind of consequences your more then welcome to.
Q: Someone is royalty, and Royalty makes a lot of money! Not fair! How do I become royalty?
A: Royalty was something made first by blood and sweat of conquest, then after that they're born in to it. If you want to become royalty, ask me and we'll work something out.
