A world where Halloween is a way of life. Costumes give wearers powers, candy is a more than just a comfort food, and monsters of all types could be found.
In this world- people lose their powers, either being replaced with what a costume gives, or none at all if no costume is worn. That is, any magical or supernatural abilities. Technology still works, but the only way to leave the world is through wooden portals.
