Attacks and abilities are moves your characters have, with one distinct difference between the two: Attacks are meant for direct damage, and abilities are not used for doing damage, but they can still cause it if used correctly.
There are two types of attacks: Those that use Special power and those that use Strength. Special power usually uses up MP, while Strength attacks are attacks that just use the body's strength. When using special power attacks, you must have the required MP, multiplying the cost by special power divided by 1,000, otherwise it won't work. There are also special attacks that are used by special weapons, but we'll get to that later.
(Example attack)
Ground pound
MP: 30
S.pwr- x2
Hits the ground, causing damage to all nearby enemies on the ground.
Special abilities fall under what your character can do that doesn't cause damage, or cause it directly. There are many examples, one being the one that just effects you, or the one that can effect you and everyone else. Here's an example of one ability.
(Example Ability)
Portal- Creates a portal to any place you have already been.
MP: 40
Gaining new attacks and abilities
To gain new attacks and abilities, the cost depends on what kind of attack or ability you want. The more versatile the attack or ability, the more Training Points it costs to obtain.
For attacks or abilities that have only one real function, the number of training points required are 100 points. For attacks or abilities that can help you, like telekinesis to swing things around and damage someone, or old something up, it costs 300 points. For something such as creating clones of yourself or making items or equipment out of thin air, it will cost 500 points to start. Even though it might be very versatile, it will not be very powerful as it will start at level 1 and only does so much. (IE- Using ice ability to make a weapon only makes it the regular damage it's actual physical cousin does.)
You also gain a new attack or ability per level.
Leveling attacks or abilities
When leveling up an attack or an ability, you can make it as powerful as you want as long as you can spend the training points to get it to the next level. When doing so, spend the attack or abilities original Training Point cost, multiplied by the next level you are trying to reach. You can not spend Training Points in to it and save it up, you must spend the Training Points it requires right then and there.
As you can see, Attacks and abilities can vary widely, and will be stated accordingly by me, depending on what it does, and how strong you become.
