Stats are as they sound, your statistics, the power and speed of your characters. There are a number of them, and I shall explain them all here
Experience: EXP for short, you gain experience in a number of ways. You mostly get it through RP, and the amount can vary depending on how well you RP. (Note- Quality over quaintity)
HP: Health points, hit points, tomato tomahto. When this reaches 0, you're unconscious and if knocked out in battle, up for an easy kill.
MP: Doesn't exactly have to be MP, can be ki, chi, or whatever other essence consumed for special attacks. If depleted, you can no longer use techniques that require this stat.
Strength: Your physical power, for when attacking in a melee fashion. The higher this stat is the harder you hit and the more you can lift.
Defense: The hardness of your body, the more you have the less damage you take from attacks be them physical or special.
Special power: For anything that requires magic power, ki power, chi power, whatever that isn't specified as a normal, physical attack.
Special defense: A stat used to determine how resilient you are to status anomalies. The higher you are, the less likely you'll end up freezing, burnt, paralyzed or even hypnotized from attacks or other outside anomalies.
Speed: Speed, no not the drug speed, the quickness speed. The higher your speed, the faster you move. This determines who goes first in fights, and also helps in races and dodging.
Stealth: The higher the stat the less detectable you are. With high enough stealth, you are able to become a ninja of sorts, or just very sneaky.
Perception: How perceptive you become, unless someone outwits you. This is the opposite to stealth, being able to notice things such as hidden items or even hidden characters that are using stealth.
Charisma: How good you are with people and either intimidating, seducing or persuading them to do something you want them to do.
Wisdom: The yang to Charisma, makes it to where you are less likely to fall for tricks from someone using charisma on you.
